17 January 2022

This is an old news item. For the latest testing centre opening hours, see where to get tested in the ACT.

ACT COVID-19 testing clinic hours and services continue to be assessed on a day-to-day basis based on the availability of testing supplies.

COVID-19 testing clinic schedule – Tuesday 18 January:

  • Garran testing clinic (open 7.30am to 9pm) – all ages
  • Mitchell drive-through testing clinic (open 8am to 10pm) – peopled aged 5 years and over
  • Kambah drive through testing clinic (8am to 4pm) – rapid antigen tests (RATs) only for eligible people aged 2 years and over

Due to an ongoing supply issue of materials needed to conduct COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests, Capital Pathology run clinics at Nicholls or Holt will not be open on Tuesday 18 January.

Rapid antigen tests (RATs)

Due to RAT supply constraints, people will only be able to pick up a single kit per person when they attend Kambah (rather than the 2 per person previously available).

People who need a follow up test will need to come back to get that at another time.

We ask people to only collect a RAT if they:

Do not present to collect a RAT if you do not fall into one of the above categories.

People who collect a RAT are required to complete a declaration upon arrival that they meet the criteria to be tested.

Please also note that RATs are not recommended for children under the age of 2.

If you have very young children who need to get tested, take them to Garran.

This is to ensure those Canberrans at highest risk of COVID-19 can receive a test when they need it.

People who return a positive RAT will be required to isolate immediatelyregister their result on the ACT COVID-19 website and follow all further instructions on the website.

Please be kind and considerate

We ask that members of the public continue to be kind and respectful to our staff, including the traffic controllers when they present at our testing sites.

People attending the Kambah site should also be mindful not to block the driveways of Kambah residents who live on O’Halloran circuit.
