Rapid antigen tests (RATs) for residential aged care facility workers

The use of rapid antigen tests (RATs) in surveillance programs can complement other COVID-19 risk mitigation measures.

The risks and benefits of implementing such programs should be considered by individual facilities. If implemented, ACT Health recommends facilities have a process to support staff surveillance testing. For more information see guidance on COVID-19 testing for community sector organisations.
