If you have COVID-19 and are very sick

Some people get very sick with COVID-19.Some people get very sick with COVID-19.
They might need to get help very quickly when they have very bad symptoms.
You have very bad symptoms if you:
  • find it difficult to breathe
  • faint
  • have pain in your chest for more than 10 minutes
  • cannot do a wee (urine) or do much less wee than usual
  • cough up blood.
If you have any of these very bad symptoms:If you have any of these very bad symptoms:
  • call triple zero ( 0 0 0 ) straight away
  • tell the person on the phone you have COVID-19
  • tell them you have very bad symptoms and need an ambulance.
