Staying home when you have COVID-19

Make sure you isolate away from other people in your home.If you have COVID-19 you should stay at home, away from other people.
If you can stay in your bedroomIf you can:
  • stay in your bedroom
  • use a separate bathroom that no one else will use
  • wear a face mask when you are
    • near other people
    • in a space that other people share with you like the kitchen or hallway
  • open windows to get fresh air into your home
  • do not share any items like towels, knives, forks
  • clean any surfaces you touch.
If you start to feel very sick call your doctor.You should:
  • wear comfortable clothes
  • drink water
  • rest in bed if you need to
  • take Panadol or Nurofen if you have
    • a fever
    • a headache
    • sore muscles
  • use a lozenge if your throat is sore
  • use a thermometer to find out your temperature.
If you start to feel very sick call your doctor.
In an emergency, call for an ambulance on triple zero ( 0 0 0 ).

  • go to Walk-in Centre.
The COVID-19 clinic helps people who have COVID-19 and mild symptoms
A Walk-in Centre
  • helps people who have COVID-19 and mild symptoms
  • treats small injuries and health problems.
Walk-in Centres are located in BelconnenTuggeranongInner North (Dickson)Weston and Gungahlin.
You do not need an appointment to go to the Walk-in Centre.
