02 July 2021

ACT Health has updated travel directions with the Northern Territory (NT), Western Australia (WA), and Queensland (QLD).

If you are returning to the ACT please be extra vigilant when monitoring for symptoms of COVID-19 and get tested immediately if you experience even the mildest of symptoms.

Queensland

We will extend the stay-at-home requirement for parts of South East QLD from the Gold Coast to the Sunshine Coast, Townsville, Magnetic Island and Palm Island areas for another 24 hours until 11.59pm Saturday 3 July. This aligns with the timing of the extension of the lockdown for the Greater Brisbane and Moreton Bay regions that was announced by the QLD Government this morning.

In addition, anyone who has spent time in these regions between 19 June and 6:00pm 29 June 2021 will need to complete an online declaration form on the ACT COVID-19 website. This is to ensure we are able to contact people if travel directions need to be escalated in the coming days.

Another update on QLD travel requirements will be provided tomorrow afternoon.

Western Australia

The stay-at-home order for the Perth and Peel regions will be lifted tonight at 11:59pm (AEST).

Anyone in the ACT who has spent time in the Perth or Peel regions on or after 22 June 2021 will still need to complete an online declaration form on the ACT COVID-19 website prior to travelling. This is to ensure we are able to contact people if travel directions need to be escalated in the coming days.

Northern Territory

The stay-at-home order that was extended for Darwin and Alice Springs Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the NT were lifted from 1:30pm (AEST) today.

Anyone in the ACT who has spent any time in the NT LGAs in the previous 14 days will still need to complete an online declaration form prior to travel.
