27 July 2021

The ACT Government will lift the stay-at-home orders in place for South Australia, Victoria, and the Orange City Council, Blayney Shire Council and Cabonne Shire Council local government areas (LGAs) in regional New South Wales from 11.59pm tonight, 27 July 2021.

This means anyone who has been in these areas will not need to follow the stay-at-home requirement upon entering the ACT. People already in the ACT subject to the stay-at-home requirement relating to these areas will be released from this at 11.59pm tonight.

However, individuals seeking to enter the ACT from tomorrow, and who have spent any time in South Australia and/or Victoria in the last 14 days, will be required to complete a declaration form within 24 hours prior to arriving in the ACT.

The declaration form will no longer be required for people who have spent time in the Orange City Council, Blayney Shire Council and Cabonne Shire Council LGAs.

While these stay-at-home orders are being lifted, we continue to ask all Canberrans to reconsider the need for non-essential interstate travel at this time. This will help to minimise the risk of COVID-19 entering the ACT. Canberrans should not be travelling to COVID-19 affected areas.

We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation in other jurisdictions and will put in place further travel restrictions if required in order to keep Canberra safe.

Please remember that the COVID-19 situation in states and territories can change quickly. If you are intending to, or have recently travelled interstate, keep checking the public health advice and any exposure locations in the relevant state or territory before travelling and for 14 days after returning.

Continue to practise COVID safe behaviours to protect the ACT from COVID-19. Stay home if unwell, get tested if you have symptoms no matter how mild, use the Check In CBR app when out and about, and be sure to practise good hand and respiratory hygiene.
