There have been 19 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the ACT in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday.

Of these cases, 13 are linked to known cases or ongoing clusters and six (6) remain under early investigation. 11 were in quarantine during their infectious period, six (6) in the community for part of their infectious period and two (2) still under investigation.

There are now 174 cases who have recovered, which means there are now 230 active cases associated with this outbreak.

As of 9am this morning ACT Health continues to work with over 1,400 people who have self-identified as close contacts of ACT outbreaks.

There are currently eight (8) patients in ACT hospitals, including one (1) in intensive care requiring ventilation.

Over 3,400 tests were collected across the ACT yesterday, from both Government and private providers.

ACT Pathology, along with our private providers, returned 2,669 negative test results in the 24 hours to 9am today.

Our vaccination efforts continue across the ACT with total vaccine doses administered now at 227,777.

We have over 330 current exposure locations listed for the ACT. Canberrans are asked to keep up to date on new locations on the ACT COVID-19 website.

We also remind all Canberrans when undertaking essential activity outside the home, make sure you are protecting yourself and your loved ones by:

  • wearing a mask and wearing it properly
  • maintaining good hand hygiene
  • physical distancing from people outside of your household - at least 1.5 metres, and
  • check in everywhere you go with the Check In CBR app.
