Booking your COVID-19 vaccination

Have you recently travelled interstate?

Provided that you’re feeling well and you’re not in isolation or quarantine, you can still attend your COVID-19 vaccination appointment.

If you’re subject to the ACT Government’s new ‘stay-at-home’ requirements, you can attend your COVID-19 vaccination appointment if you’re not in isolation or in quarantine and feeling well.

Book in for your COVID-19 vaccination

We are currently vaccinating all people in phase 1a, 1b, people aged 30 years and over, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 16 years and over and pregnant people aged 16 years and over. Eligible people can now book an appointment online or by calling us.

If you’re booked in at an ACT Government COVID-19 vaccination clinic, but cannot make it, please cancel or reschedule using MyDHR or by filling in the appointment cancellation form.

Who we’re vaccinating

All people in phase 1a, 1b, people aged 30 years and over, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 16 years and over and pregnant people aged 16 years and over, can get vaccinated now.

Where can I get vaccinated?

COVID-19 vaccinations are being offered in the ACT at

*Pfizer clinic for people under 60 (with a few exceptions)
**AstraZeneca clinic for people 60 years and over (with a few exceptions)
***Pfizer and AstraZeneca clinic for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people

How to book your COVID-19 vaccination

Eligible people can make a booking:

  • online – using the ACT Government booking system MyDHR
  • phone – call the ACT Government COVID-19 Vaccination Line on 02 5124 7700, 7am to 7pm, daily. Save time by using the call back service and you won't lose your place in the queue
  • at a GP – use the Commonwealth Government’s Vaccine Eligibility Checker for a list of participating practices
  • at Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health Service –call reception on 02 6284 6222, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Your second dose appointment will be made during your first visit at the clinic.

Please ensure you wait at least 7 days (previously 14 days) between a dose of any vaccination, like the flu vaccine, before you get a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. This is a precautionary recommendation that allows for proper safety and monitoring of vaccines. Read the latest advice on the timing between the COVID-19 vaccine and other vaccines.

Online appointments

Booking your first COVID-19 vaccination appointment online takes two easy steps!

  1. Sign up to MyDHR and confirm you’re eligible to get vaccinated. An invite to book an appointment will be sent to you within 24 hours of signing up.
  2. Sign in to MyDHR to schedule your COVID-19 vaccination appointment. You will receive a text message or email confirming you've booked within the hour. Your second dose appointment will be made during your first visit.

MyDHR not recognising your Medicare card

It could be because:

  • You may be entering the number incorrectly

When filling out the Medicare number, please note the format needs to be XXXXXXXXXX-X where the last digit (IRN) is what appears next to your first name on your Medicare card. Include the hyphen ( - ) when filling out your Medicare number before you enter the IRN number.

    Your Medicare number changes when you get a new card.

    If you haven’t attended a public health facility in the ACT since getting a new card, call 02 5124 7700 for MyDHR technical support. They can update your Medicare card in the system so you can book online.
  • You’ve never accessed the public health system in the ACT.

Cancelling or rescheduling your appointment

If you can’t make it to your appointment because you’re unwell, have COVID-19 symptoms or for other reasons, please reschedule or cancel your appointment by logging into your MyDHR account, using our cancellation form or calling 02 5124 7700 (7am to 7pm, daily).
