ACT Health has updated health directions regarding the exposure locations released yesterday following the notification of a positive case from New South Wales (NSW) who visited the ACT on Monday 14 June 2021.

In working with NSW Health, we have clarified the assessment of the two exposure locations and are continuing to take a highly precautionary approach, consistent with NSW Health. ACT Health will be contacting anyone who has already competed a declaration form and is currently isolating to inform them of these updated health directions.

New exposure sites in NSW

With the Bondi cluster continuing to grow, NSW Health has today released a large number of new exposure locations in Greater Sydney and Wollongong.

ACT Health has updated the ACT COVID-19 website with these new locations, and we are urging anyone who has been in the Greater Sydney and Wollongong areas, in particular those who travelled over the June long weekend, to check the ACT COVID-19 website.

If you have been to an exposure location at the dates and times specified, you must follow the relevant health directions.

In regards to the Bondi Junction Westfield, ACT Health has classified this as a casual contact site. This means, people currently in the ACT who were at Bondi Junction at the dates and times specified, need to immediately complete an online declaration form, get tested for COVID-19 and isolate until a negative test result is received, regardless of whether you have any symptoms or not.

Extra staff have been rostered on at existing ACT testing clinics and we will continue to monitor demand and respond as needed. See the COVID-19 website for further information on getting tested.

We are closely monitoring the situation in NSW and will continue to keep the community up to date.
