Update on booster and third doses - 24 December 2021
The Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) has released updated advice on COVID-19 booster doses and third doses for immunocompromised people.
ATAGI have recommended:
- a booster dose for adults, 4 months after their second dose, noting the holiday period, and
- when practical – a COVID-19 booster for adults 3 months after their second dose.
In addition, immunocompromised individuals who have received 3 doses are recommended a booster dose (fourth dose) 4 months after their third dose (and 3 months when practical).
ACT Health is now accepting bookings for appointments from 4 January 2022 either online via MyDHR or over the phone.
Please note our COVID-19 vaccination booking line and our ACT Government clinics are closed over the Christmas period.
The ACT COVID-19 vaccination booking line 02 5124 7700 will reopen at 7am Tuesday 3 January.
The AIS Arena COVID-19 vaccination clinic will reopen at 8am Tuesday 4 January 2022.
The Access and Sensory COVID-19 vaccination clinic will reopen at 8.30am Tuesday 4 January 2022.
