21 January 2022

ACT health care, aged care, community service support and disability care workers can get a priority COVID-19 vaccine booster appointment at the Canberra Airport vaccination clinic, which reopens on 24 January 2022.

People who are eligible for a priority appointment include:

  • clinical staff
  • support workers
  • kitchen staff
  • administration staff
  • security staff
  • cleaning staff
  • volunteers.

People in these priority groups will be contacted directly by their employer with instructions on how to book their booster appointment.

The Canberra Airport vaccination clinic continues to offer priority booster bookings for ACT teachers, education staff, early childhood education and care workers.

ACT Health will provide more detail next week on how to book appointments at the Canberra Airport for the general public once priority appointments have been allocated.

Remember, everyone aged 18 years and over can now book in to get a booster dose 3 months after their second dose.

We also have lots of appointments available for children aged 5 to 11 years at the AIS Arena and Access and Sensory vaccination clinic in Weston Creek.

Book now by using MyDHR or calling us on 5124 7700, 7am to 7pm daily (note MyDHR is unavailable for people aged under 16).

People can also book a vaccination appointment at a participating GP or pharmacy using the Vaccine Clinic Finder.

The Canberra Airport clinic is located at 30 Nomad Drive, Pialligo.

Free public transport to ACT Government COVID-19 mass vaccination clinics are still in place.

Just show the driver or customer service officer your vaccination booking at an ACT Government clinic (upon request) to access free travel.

To get to the Canberra Airport vaccination clinic via public transport, people can catch Transport Canberra bus Route 3 to reach the clinic.
