COVID-19 walk-in clinic at Garran

Opening hours at the free COVID-19 Walk-in Clinic at Garran have changed to 8.30am to 5pm as of today (20 April 2022).

The clinic is open every day and is available for COVID positive patients who need face to face treatment for non-life threatening injury or illness or further assistance managing their COVID-19 symptoms.

No appointment is required.

We are currently experiencing very high demand across our facilities and staff shortages due to COVID-19 and other illnesses.

The changes in operating hours will allow Canberra Health Services to redeploy team members to areas where demand is currently very high.

Where is it located

The COVID-19 walk-in clinic is located on the northern end of the COVID-19 Surge Centre on Garran Oval.

It has a separate entrance to the testing clinic (you should see the signs for this entrance).

Please be sure to go to the correct entrance to ensure the safety of others.

COVID-19 testing will continue to operate separately at the southern end of the facility

If you are at risk of severe disease

Unvaccinated, partially vaccinated, and immunocompromised individuals are at increased risk of severe illness and are eligible for COVID-19 treatment.

If you fall into one of these categories or are concerned about your symptoms, talk to your GP or the ACT COVID-19 Care@Home team on 02 5124 3085.

If you have a child under 2 years, please call your GP or the ACT COVID-19 Care@Home team rather than visit this clinic.

In an emergency or life-threatening situation, please call triple zero 000 and inform the operator that you or your child has COVID-19.
