Today the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) provided an update on booster doses for people aged 12 to 15 years.

ATAGI recommends that a first booster dose of a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine may be given to the following people aged 12 to 15 years who have completed a primary course (2 doses) 3 or more months ago:

  • those who are severely immunocompromised
  • those who have a disability with significant or complex health needs
  • those who have complex and/or many health conditions that increase the risk of severe COVID-19

ACT Government can take bookings at our Access and Sensory vaccination clinic for people who meet this criteria. Alternatively, you can make an appointment with your local GP or pharmacist using the Vaccine Clinic Finder.

A reminder COVID-19 vaccinations can be given at the same time as your annual flu vaccine.

If you have any specific questions, speak to your GP or specialist for further advice.
