Epidemiological update for week ending 7 November 2021

There has been an increase in cases notified this week compared to the week ending 31 October, with a total of 1,742 cases across the entire outbreak (to 8pm Sunday 7 November).

There were 86 cases notified to ACT Health last week, compared with 61 in the week ending 31 October.

The five-day rolling average of daily cases (by diagnosis date) has increased to 12.

The median age of cases notified last week was 15 years of age, compared with 27 across the entire outbreak.

We have seen 13 schools affected by COVID-19 cases attending in the past two weeks, however at this stage we have only identified transmission occurring at two of these sites.

The daily number of tests over the past week has seen a steady increase and was around 1,700 per day last week.
