There have been 15 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the ACT in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday.

Of these cases, 13 are linked to known cases or ongoing clusters, with six (6) in quarantine during their infectious period, seven (7) in the community for part of their infectious period two (2) still under investigation.

There are now 137 cases that have recovered, which means there are now 237 active cases associated with this outbreak.

As of 9am this morning ACT Health continues to work with over 1,400 people who have self-identified as close contacts of ACT outbreaks.

There are currently nine (9) patients in ACT hospitals, including one (1) in intensive care requiring ventilation.

Over 2,500 tests were collected across the ACT yesterday, from both Government and private providers.

ACT Pathology, along with our private providers, returned 1,629 negative test results in the 24 hours to 9am today.

Our vaccination efforts continue across the ACT with total vaccine doses administered now at 222,243.

We have over 330 current exposure locations listed for the ACT. Canberrans are asked to keep up to date on new locations on the COVID-19 exposure locations page.

Get tested early

We strongly urge Canberrans to get tested with any COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild.

We are also urging anyone with symptoms to get tested as soon as symptoms start.

Our investigations have identified that some people are waiting up to two days after symptoms to get tested. This is too late.

It’s important to get tested as soon as symptoms start to ensure we are identifying cases as early as possible.

COVID-19 symptoms most commonly include fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, loss of smell or taste, or runny or blocked nose.

Further information on all potential COVID-19 symptoms and getting tested is on the Where to get tested page.

Stay COVID Safe

A reminder to all Canberrans when undertaking essential activity outside the home, make sure you are protecting yourself and your loved ones by:

  • wearing a mask and wearing it properly
  • maintaining good hand hygiene
  • physical distancing from people outside of your household – at least 1.5 metres, and
  • check in everywhere you go with the Check In CBR app.
