Sadly, ACT Health has been notified of a new death, a woman in her 70s with COVID-19. ACT Health is also reporting five historical deaths of people with COVID-19 that fall outside the reporting period. These deaths occurred during May 2022 and were a woman in her 70s, a man in his 70s, and three women in their 90s.

ACT Health publicly reports all deaths with COVID-19. Delays in public reporting of COVID-19 deaths can occur due to several reasons, including delays in notification by a care provider, delays in receiving the death certificate, delays relating to investigations and findings by the coroner, and/or internal processing delays. In this case, the primary reason was an internal delay in processing information provided by a residential aged care facility.

ACT Health extends its sincere condolences to their families and friends at this difficult time.

Expanded opening hours on Saturdays at the Access and Sensory Vaccination Clinic

Due to strong demand for COVID-19 and flu vaccinations, the Access and Sensory Vaccination Clinic is expanding its opening hours on Saturday from 8.30am to 8.30pm (previously 8.30am to 3pm). This change in hours will take place from tomorrow (Saturday 18 June). Bookings can be made by phoning 02 5124 3999.

The Access and Sensory Vaccination Clinic in Weston Creek has been set up to provide easier access for people aged five and over with disability, mental health conditions, or people who may need additional support to get their COVID-19 or influenza vaccinations. Since Monday 6 June, the ACT Government has also made flu vaccinations free for concession card holders (including those with the  ACT Services Access Card) at the Access and Sensory Vaccination Clinic.
