There have been 24 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the ACT in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday.

Of these cases, 18 are linked to known cases or ongoing clusters and six (6) remain under early investigation. 15 were in quarantine during their infectious period, six (6) in the community for part of their infectious period and three (3) still under investigation.

There are now 225 cases who have recovered, which means there are now 238 active cases associated with this outbreak.

As of 9am this morning ACT Health continues to work with over 1,200 people who have self-identified as close contacts of ACT outbreaks.

There are currently 15 patients in ACT hospitals, including four (4) in intensive care and one (1) requiring ventilation.

Almost 3,400 tests were collected across the ACT yesterday, from both Government and private providers.

ACT Pathology, along with our private providers, 2,239 returned negative test results in the 24 hours to 9am today.

Our vaccination efforts continue across the ACT with total vaccine doses administered now at 236,879.

We have over 360 current exposure locations listed for the ACT. Canberrans are asked to keep up to date on new locations on the ACT COVID-19 website.

50% of 16+ Canberrans fully vaccinated

More than 50% of Canberrans aged 16+ have now received 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and more than 47% aged 12+.

We remind Canberrans that it’s important you get 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. It’s also important to remember that people may not be fully protected until 2 weeks after their second dose of the Pfizer or AstraZeneca vaccine.

Many people are now eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccination in the ACT, including everyone aged 16+ and some children aged 12-15.

Further information on eligibility for a COVID-19 vaccine and how to book an appointment is on the ACT COVID-19 website.
